Dear members of the community,

We are thrilled to announce that a portion of our school building will be repurposed to allow for an independently owned and operated, 120-place childcare centre (approved by council September 2022). This new childcare centre will provide an exciting opportunity for the Mooroolbark Community to access high-quality childcare services.

As the new childcare centre will not begin operation until renovations are complete, we have been able to continue to operate our Montessori Kindergarten until end of 2023 at which point, we will cease operation. Although our Montessori Kindergarten will no longer be in operation from December 2023, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for our current students and families.

We are excited to continue to offer a diverse range of educational offerings in 2023/2024, including the addition of year 7 & 8, which will allow our executive team to work more closely on our school curriculum and provide additional opportunities for our students.

We are confident that these changes will bring positive benefits to our school community. We would like to thank you for your support as we navigate these changes. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

They leave Montessori as Kinder students ready for their transition into Foundation; with a love for learning, prepared for life.

Providing an environment that invites curiosity and wonder

Our Montessori Centre provides spacious indoor and outdoor environments, with natural play areas inviting young learners to explore and discover as they build their curiosity, confidence, and skills.

Children are encouraged in independent, and group play, and our experienced educators use early childhood learning strategies to provide support and guidance as children progress their learning journey.
